study plan

Hey guys,

Please share your study plan for remaining last two weeks. I want to study for 8-10 hours. Mixed set of barbri questions for MBE (36) and 4-5 essays outlining every day along with memorization of main subjects.

Any suggestions for this two weeks

MBE- 200 question simulated test tomorrow and 100 question tests on 2/13, 2/16, & 2/19. I will review the answers in between each test.

PT- 4 Simulated PTs on 2/8, 2/12, 2/15, & 2/21.

ESSAYS- Write 1 MBE-subject/PR essay a day and outline 2 other essays.

MEMORIZATION- Going to focus most on the Big 6, PR, and Civ Pro.

70% on the MBE, 65 avg on the PT, and straight 60's on the essays will get you around 1440.

I'm doing something very similar to your study plan. Attacking my weak areas in the major essays and doing more and more MBEs so that I an get more familiar with the questions. My time is about 8-12 hours a day allotted 60% of time to essays and 40% to MBEs. Trying to just remain focused and not get fatigued or stressed out. Attacking the areas I am weak on helps me to stay relaxed. Taking a full MBE today. Then a couple essays later on. Going over my wrong answers tomorrow.

How are you guys memorizing the big 6? I have been wondering whether to memorize the essay chunk answers or to go back to my notes or both.
I am so unsure about how much I now have 'in memory'.
Is anyone using the Kaplan summaries to review the MBE topics?
Thanks.

Over the next 6 days I will rotate through the subjects.  In the am I will do 1-2 hours of memory work (light) then 2 essays, then 1-2 hours memory work then 2 more essasy in a different subject.  I will reserve the right to either do full essays (i've already done 120+) so I think I might just oultine 3 per hour for a total of 6 per day.

Continue with MBE's during the afertoon.  Key in on stuff I miss.  I'm not going to stress off the crazy hard stuff like RAP or other property concepts.  Instead, I will focus negligence (10% of the mbe), theft crimes, and so forth

At night, review the essays, review key or tricky mbe stuff, and then begin review of the subject for next day.  Because PR is the one constant, I will review fact patterns at night and issue spot as go through them.  I will do this 2 to 3x duing this coming week.

I've usuaully started my memory work 11 days out but that was too crazy for me last time I took the bar and I really got fatigued.  As such, I've decided to start memory work earlier and build up.

The last week of the exam, I will focus big time on the memory work.  Probably resereve full days for contracts and property, then the balance of the week double up-the rest of the subjects.

During the memory work week, I will review/outline eassy at night.

My plans are always over ambitious but I set it high so I can cover what needs to be covered.  Good luck to all!

follow barbri's schedule 90%, get occassional panic attacks, think about how i'm going to flee the country if i fail, and last but not least, lament at how crappy my life is.

in reality... there's only so much a person can do. all i can do is do the amount of work i can and hope it's enough. if it isn't, well then so be it, i just'll have to take it again.

I see no one is mentioning performance!
PRETTY SCARY, since its worth 4 essays.. and a you can basically fail all essays with a 70-75 on performance....
If you knew there was going to be 4 CON LAW questions, wouldn't you study it more??

That said, I'm doing 10-12 hours a day, with 1 hour eating break. Set up like this

First 1.5-2.0 hours - PR
Second, 50-100 MBEs
Essay 4-6 hours
Full performance every other day.
Practice performance set-ups ever other day
Essay practice includes writing one essay each day.

doing full PT is a waste of time

I think doing a full performance test every other day is overkill. As long as you're familiar with the different types of tasks that have shown up in past PTs then I think you could be spending your time more efficiently. The only reason to do a full PT is to build up your endurance, but you should already be there.

What was most effective for me was to do around 50 MBE questions a day and study only capsule outlines (2-3 pages max) of 2 or 3 subjects each day. Also write out at least one full essay everyday. Get to know those short outlines well enough so you can write them out from memory.

Yeah, study for 8 to 10 hours per day.  Hey, if you didn't have a plan by now, why the concern with two weeks out?
