The Bar Assn website and BarBri's books show model answers. Is there a website that shows essays that passed, but were less than "model?" I'm not trying to set the bar low here - I am just looking for an idea of what constitutes a passing essay. Thx

BarBri's answers are nowhere near "model" answers.  Neither are those published by CalBar.

Check out www.baressays.com.  Excellent resource, at least for the California Bar Exam.

Try - baressays.com.

They have answers ranging in scores from the 40% to 80%.

Is it true that barbri sample essay answers are not really what the bar people are looking for?
Could one pass answering barbri-style?

I find these answers very good and structured...albeit it somewhat short, but perhaps that's good.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if the sample essays are available for DOWNLOAD or if you can only review them online? I will probably only order them if I can download them and review.

Also, the site states that they have "Hundreds" -- I am hoping that they will have a large selection of esssays in the 65/70+ range.  Does anyone know if they have a number of essays that have "higher "scores?

Thanks!

Are you referring to Baressays.com ?

If affirmative then you can copy the desired file (although not download),
to your computer. They have answers in 65/70 range.

It's bad for them if they allow you to download the essays. Anyone can download all the essays and start their own website without paying anything to anyone. BarEssays.com pays $75 per bar exam to every failed student to buy their essays.

You can print out all the essays on BarEssays.com.

They have about 1000 essays with the full range of scores - from 40-80 and a couple 82.5. They also have one essay that got a 0 (only wrote like 2 lines).

I don't think the bar examiners give out anything higher than 80 or 85 because these answers look ridiculously good.
